- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kesiapsiagaan SMP Negeri 34 Bandar Lampung dalam menghadapi bencana banjir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah warga sekolah SMP Negeri 34 Bandar Lampung yang terdiri dari pimpinan sekolah, karyawan, guru dan siswa. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 100 orang, terdiri dari kepala sekolah, 2 orang pramu sekolah, 16 orang guru dan 81 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus Indeks Kesiapsiagaan Sekolah. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa : 1). Kesiapsiagaan Pimpinan sekolah masuk kedalam kategori siap dengan nilai indeks 75.24, 2). Kesiapsiagaan Karyawan masuk kedalam kategori siap dengan nilai indeks 71.51, 3). Kesiapsiagaan Guru masuk kedalam kategori siap dengan nilai indeks 68.95, dan 4). Kesiapsiagaan Siswa masuk kedalam kategori siap dengan nilai indeks 73.81, 5). Secara keseluruhan kesiapsiagaan sekolah masuk kedalam kategori siap dengan nilai indeks 73.05. hal ini menunjukan bahwa SMP Negeri 34 Bandar Lampung siap dalam merespon bencana banjir. Kata Kunci: mitigasi, kesiapsiagaan, banjir. The aims of this research are to describe the preparedness of 34 Bandar Lampung Public Junior High School for floods disaster. This research was conducted by using quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population in this research were school residents, consisting of school leaders, employees, teachers and students. The samples of this research were 100 peoples consisting of a school leader, 2 employees, 16 teachers and, 81 students. Data were collected by questionnaires, observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis was done by using School Preparedness Index Formula. The results of this research indicate that : 1). The Learder School of Preparedness is categorized as “Prepared” with index value of 75.24, 2). The Employees of preparedness is categorized as “Prepared” with index value of 71.51, 3). The Teachers of preparedness is categorized as “Prepared" with index value of 68.95, and 4). The Students of preparedness is categorized as “Prepared with index value of 73.81, 5). Overall the school of preparedness is categorized as “Prepared” with index value of 73.05. This shows that of 34 Bandar Lampung Public Junior High School is prepared to respond of flood disaster.
