  • Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimana pengembangan dan kelayakan produk bahan ajar lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) menulis teks deskripsi berbasis nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter untuk peserta didik SMP/MTs kelas VII. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar berupalembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) menulis teks deskripsi berbasis nilainilai pendidikan karakter untuk peserta didik SMP/MTs kelas VII yangdikembangkan berdasarkan penilaian uji kelayakan olehahli materi, ahli media, praktisi, guru dan peserta didik.Nilai karakter yang diangkat dalam LKPD yang dikembangkan yaitu nilai PPK (religius, nasionalis, mandiri,gotong royong, dan integritas). Metode penelitian ini mengunakan pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) oleh Borg andGall. Terdapat tiga tahapan utama penelitian yakni hasil studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk, dan hasil pengembangan. Pengumpulan data pada studi pendahuluan menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Pengembangan produk dilakukan dengan desain awal produk, uji praktisi, uji ahli, uji lapangan kelas kecil dan kelas besar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan LKPD menulis teks deskripsi berbasis nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter telah berhasil dikembangkan. Hasiluji kelayakan LKPD secara keseluruhan dinyatakan “sangat layak” oleh ahli materi, ahli media, praktisi, guru dan peserta didik. Penilaian uji kelayakan LKPD oleh ahli materi berdasarkan keseluruhan aspek yang dinilai, memperoleh skor akhir dengan persentase 85% dinyatakan “sangat layak” . Penilaian ahli media dari keseluruhan aspek yang dinilai, memperoleh skor akhir dengan persentase 97% dinyatakan “sangat layak”, penilaian Praktisi dari seluruh aspek yang dinilai, memperoleh persentase 92%dinyatakan “sangat layak” Uji kelayakan LKPD pada kelompok besar di SMPN 3 Katibung, MTs Nur El Ihsan Katibung, dan MTs. GUPPI 1 Babatan Katibung oleh responden guru diperoleh nilai rata-rata 80,8 (layak) sedangkan responden peserta didik diperoleh nilai rata-rata 81,47 (sangat layak). Kata Kunci :Pengembangan, LKPD, Teks Deskripsi, Nilai karakter The problem discussed in this study is how the development and feasibility of the student worksheet teaching material (LKPD) writing description text based on character education values for grade VII students of SMP / MTs. This study aims to produce teaching material products in the form of student worksheets (LKPD) writing description text based on the values of character education for grade VII students of SMP / MTs developed based on the assessment of due diligence by material experts, media experts, practitioners, teachers and learners. Character values raised in the developed LKPD are PPK values (religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity). This research method uses the development of Research and Development (R&D) by Borg and Gall. There are three main stages of research, namely the results of preliminary studies, product development, and development results. Data collection in the preliminary study using the techniques of documentation, observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Product development is done by initial product design, practitioner test, expert test, small class and large class field test. The results of this study indicate that LKPD writen description text based on the values of character education has been successfully developed. The overall LKPD feasibility results were declared "very feasible" by material experts, media experts, practitioners, teachers and students. LKPD due diligence assessment by material experts based on the overall aspects assessed, obtaining a final score with a percentage of 85% declared "very feasible".
