- Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan eksistensi tokoh utama novel 9 Matahari, mengetahui kelayakan eksistensi tokoh utama novel 9 Matahari sebagai materi pembelajaran sastra di SMA dan merancang perangkat pembelajaran sastra untuk siswa kelas XII SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini novel 9 Matahari karya Adenita. Sumber data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka dengan cara menganalisis data melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) eksistensi tokoh utama novel“9 Matahari” karya Adenita sebanyak 150 temuan dengan perincian, (a) eksistensi aspek hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan sebanyak 8 data, (b) eksistensi aspek hubungan manusia dengan dirinya sendiri/ hati nurani sebanyak 83 data, (c) eksistensi aspek hubungan manusia dengan manusia sebanyak 55 data, dan (c) hubungan manusia dengan alam ditemukan 4 data, dan 2) novel 9 Matahari karya Adenita dikatakan layak sebagai materi pembelajaran sastra di SMA ditinjau dari kesesuaian uraian materi dengan Kompetensi Inti dan Kompetensi Dasar yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Oleh karena itu, penulis merancang perangkat pembelajaran sastra untuk siswa kelas XII SMA dengan materi eksistensi tokoh utama novel 9 Matahari karya Adenita dalam bentuk RPP. Kata kunci: eksistensi tokoh utama, 9 Matahari, kelayakan materi, pembelajaran sastra The purpose of this study is to describe the existence of the main character of the novel 9 Matahari, find out the feasibility of the main character's novel 9 Matahari as a literature learning material in high school and design a literature learning device for class XII high school students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study is the novel 9 Matahari by Adenita. Sources of data collected through literature study by analyzing data through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and verification of conclusions. The results showed that 1) the existence of the main character of the novel "9 Matahari" by Adenita as many as 150 findings with details, (a) the existence of aspects of the human relationship with God as much as 8 data, (b) the existence of aspects of the human relationship with himself / conscience as much as 83 data, (c) the existence of aspects of human relations with as many as 55 data, and (c) human relations with nature found 4 data, and 2) novel 9 Matahari by Adenita said to be feasible as literature learning materials in high school in terms of the suitability of the description of the material with Competence Core and Basic Competencies that can be implemented in the study of literature in high school. Therefore, the authors designed a literature learning tool for class XII high school students with the existence of the main character novel 9 Matahari by Adenita in the form of lesson plans.
