- ABSTRAK PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN IPA MODEL GUIDED DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBASIS BOOKLET UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP PESERTA DIDIK DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA Oleh Erlia Dwi Pratiwi Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA berbasis Booklet model guided discovery learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) modifikasi dari Borg and Gall yang memuat 10 langkah penelitian yaitu: potensi dan masalah, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba desain, revisi produk, uji coba pemakaian, revisi produk, dan produk massal. Pada tahap implementasi populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Alfalakhussaadah Pakuan Ratu, sampel yang digunakan adalah peserta didik kelas VIII A. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa booklet model guided discovery learning pada tahap potensi dan kondisi tempat penelitian yang rendah dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran yang informatif dan pembelajarannya yang bersifat teacher center. Sehingga perlu adanya media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Maka peneliti mengembangakan media pembelajaran IPA berbasis booklet model Guided discovery learning di SMP Alfalakhussaadah. Pada tahap design peneliti membuat story board integrasi model guided discovery learning dan materi yang dikembangkan. Selain itu membuat beberapa instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian meliputi instrumen kuesioner validasi, kuesioner self assesment, kuesioner observer dan tes pemahaman konsep. Pada tahap validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan media pada booklet model guided discovery learning. Validasi materi memperoleh persentase 84,26% kategori sangat layak dan validasi media 90,06% dengan kategori sangat layak. Selain itu dilakukan uji lapangan untuk melihat keterlaksnaan pembelajaran menggunakan booklet model guided discovery learning memperoleh persentase 94% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil penilaian respon peserta didik dinyatakan bahwa jumlah rata-rata skor penilaian dari 64 peserta didik diperoleh sebesar 4,4 dengan persentase 88% dengan kategori sangat layak. Rata-rata skor penilaian dari 40 pernyataan diperoleh sebesar 4,4 dengan persentase 88% dengan kategori sangat layak/layak. Efektivitas media pembelajaran diketahui berdasarkan hasil dari respon pendidik dan respon peserta didik pada produk media pembelajaran IPA berbasis booklet pokok bahasan usaha dan energi dikategorikan layak kemudian media pembelajaran IPA berbasis booklet dapat perbaiki sesuai dari saran yang diberikan pada tahap pemakaian.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan yakni booklet model guided discovery learning layak digunakan, terlakasana dengan baik dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. ABSTRACT DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE LEARNING GUIDED DISCOVERY LEARNING BASED BOOKLET FOR CONCEPT UNDERSTANDING STUDENT OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL By Erlia Dwi Pratiwi This study aims to develop a science learning medium based on the Booklet guided discovery learning model. This research uses a research and development method (Research and Development) modification from Borg and Gall which includes 10 research steps, namely: potential and problems, product design, design validation, design revision, design testing, product revision, trial use, product revision , and mass products. At the implementation stage of the study population, all students of class VIII of Alfalakhussaadah Pakuan Ratu Junior High School, the sample used was students of class VIII A. The results showed that the guided discovery learning model booklet at the potential stage and the conditions of the research sites were low in the use of informative learning media and learning that is teacher center. So the need for learning media that can improve students' understanding of concepts. So researchers developed a science learning media based on the booklet Guided discovery learning model in Alfalakhussaadah Middle School. At the design stage the researcher makes a story board integration of guided discovery learning models and developed material. In addition, he made several instruments used in this research include instrument validation questionnaire, self assessment questionnaire, observer questionnaire and concept understanding test. At the validation stage, the material and media experts conducted the guided discovery learning model booklet. Material validation obtained a percentage of 84.26% in the very feasible category and media validation at 90.06% with a very proper category. In addition, a field test was conducted to see the effectiveness of learning using the guided discovery learning model booklet, which obtained a percentage of 94% with a very good category. The results of the assessment of students' responses stated that the average number of assessment scores of 64 students was obtained at 4.4 with a percentage of 88% with a very decent category. The average rating score of 40 statements obtained by 4.4 with a percentage of 88% in the category of very feasible / feasible. The effectiveness of learning media is known based on the results of educators 'responses and students' responses to booklet-based science learning media products. The subject of business and energy is categorized as feasible, then the booklet-based science learning media can be improved according to the advice given at the usage stage. Thus it can be concluded that the product the booklet of guided discovery learning model developed was feasible to use, well and effectively implemented to improve students' understanding of concepts.
