- Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada penerapan model problem based instruction dengan menggunakan media audiovisual dan pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V SDN 3 Metro Pusat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 52 orang peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa soal tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model problem based instruction dengan media audiovisual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V SDN 3 Metro Pusat dan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V SDN 3 Metro Pusat pada penerapan model problem based instruction dengan menggunakan media audiovisual. The purpose of this research was to determine the different higher order thinking skill on the application of problem based instruction model with audiovisual media and saintific aproach to higher order thinking skill by the fifth grade student at SDN 3 Metro Pusat. Type of this research was used research. The research design was non-equivalent control group design. The reaseach sample were 52 students. The reaseach instrumen was a test. The results showed that were the influence problem based instruction models with audiovisual media to higher order thinking skill of student in class V SDN 3 Metro Pusat and that were the different higher order thinking skill of student in class V SDN 3 Metro Pusat with problem based instruction and udiovisual media.
