- This research was aimed at investigating i) the significant difference of students’ speaking performance after the implementation of jigsaw technique, ii) students’ attitude toward the implementation of jigsaw and iii) the significant effect of students’ attitude on their speaking performance. The research was conducted at SMAN 3 Bandar Lampung. The sample was 33 first grade students. The data were collected by using speaking test and questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed through Paired Sample T-Test, Descriptive Statistics and Linear Regression in SPSS Version 20. The result showed that there is a significant difference of students’ speaking performance after the implementation of jigsaw, with the level of significance at .001 (p < .05). It is also found that students’ attitude toward the implementation of Jigsaw is positive. Then, there is a significant effect of students’ attitude toward speaking English of on their speaking performance with the level of significance at .000 (p < .05) followed by its determination (R2) at 41.1%. It means that students’ attitude contributes 41.1% on students speaking performance and 58.9% is contributed by other variables which are excluded in this research. The equation model is Y-2.941 + .380 (Attitude). It means every additional 1% of students’ attitude contributes additional .380 on students’ speaking performance.
