  • Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengembangan dan kelayakan media cetakan berbasis teks untuk pembelajaran teks narasi di SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media cetak berbasis teks untuk pembelajaran mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur teks narasi (cerita imajinasi) yang dibaca dan didengar di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development yang terdiri atas 6 tahapan yaitu (1) analisis potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain produk, (4) validasi desain, (5) revisi desain, dan (6) uji kelayakan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terwujudnya sebuah media pembelajaran teks narasi berupa pop up book yang terdiri atas materi teks narasi, contoh cerita fantasi, dan latihan soal untuk siswa SMP kelas VII yang telah dinyatakan layak digunakan oleh ahli materi dan media. Kelayakan media pembelajaran sesuai dengan hasil validasi berdasarkan aspek kelayakan penyajian, penilaian kontekstual, dan kelayakan fisik media. Validitas ahli materi terhadap aspek kelayakan penyajian dan penilaian kontekstual diperoleh skor 76 dengan kategori sangat baik. Validitas ahli media yang terdiri atas aspek kelayakan penyajian dan fisik media diperoleh skor 65 dengan kategori sangat baik atau layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran. Kemudian dari hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli media dilakukan tahap revisi untuk menciptakan alat bantu pembelajaran yang dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci : media pembelajaran, pop up book, teks narasi The problem of this research was how the development and feasibility of textbased printed media for learning narrative texts in junior high school students. The objective of this researh was to develop a text-based printed media for learning in order to identify elements of narrative texts (imagination stories) that are learned in VII grade students of junior high school. This research used Research and Development Method that consisted of 6 stages that were (1) Analyzing the potential and the problems, (2) Collecting the data, (3) designing the product, (4) designing the validation, (5) designing the revision, and (6) testing the feasibility The result of this research was a development of a learning media in narrative text in form of pop up book which consisted of narative text material, the example of fantasy story, and the task for the first grade of junior high school students. This learning media had been declared feasible to be used by experts of learning material and experts of learning media. The feasibility of instructional media was in accordance with the results of validation based on aspects of the feasibility of presentation, contextual assessment, and the physical feasibility of the media.The validity of the material experts on the aspects of the feasibility of presentation and contextual assessment obtained a score of 76 with a very good category. The validity of media experts consisting of aspects of the feasibility of presentation and the physical of media obtained a score of 65 with a very good category or suitable to use in learning. From the results of the validation of the material expert and the media expert, the revision stage was carried out to create learning aids which were otherwise suitable to use in the learning process.
