- Berita yang baru–baru ini sedang hangat menjadi sorotan ialah berita politik, salah satunya ajakan people power yang mana media online detik.com selalu menghadirkan informasi serta perkembangan dari pertarungan antara kedua paslon. Dalam pertarungan tersebut muncul istilah people power hal tersebut disebabkan oleh anggapan bahwa Pemilu, khususnya Pilpres terindikasi terdapat kecurangan. Pemberitaan mengenai aksi people power membuat peneliti tergugah untuk melihat serta menganalisi isi dari pemberitaan. Tujuan dari penelitin ini ialah Untuk mengetahui wacana teks yang dikonstruksi oleh penulis serta untuk mengetahui dimensi kognisi sosial dan konteks sosial yang terdapat dalam wacana berita. Teori yang digunakan Agenda Setting, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode penelitian analisis wacana Teun A. Van Dijk. Hasil penelitian ini Wacana teks berita ajakan people power pasca pemilihan presiden dan wakil presiden 2019 pada media online detik.com pada 3 edisi tersebut tidak menguntungkan bagi massa people power serta peneliti menemukan beberapa poin penting tentang pemikiran penulis. (1) pemberitaan yang dimuat di detik.com ini ialah pemberitaan yang ditampilkan oleh penulis secara gamblang apa adanya sesuai dengan kenyataan dan juga stament yang diberikan oleh tokoh yang ada namun di sisi lain berita yang hadir di media detik.com yang membahas mengenai people power menjadi sebuah keuntungan tersendiri bagi media tersebut, pasalnya pembahasan people power selalu diperbaharui dan pendapat respon yang baik dari pengunjung detik.com. (2) Pemberitaan ini bagi penulis merupakan bentuk informasi yang dibuat agar dapat bermanfaat serta mengedukasi dan memberikan informasi mengenai pemilihan presiden 2019 dengan segala regulasi didalamnya termasuk gerakan yang ada.
