- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mengetahui persepsi petani terhadap Program asuransi usaha tani padi (AUTP) dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan persepsi petani terhadap Program AUTP di Desa Marga Kaya Kecamatan Jati Agung Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Penentuan pengambilan sampel secara proposional random sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 6 4 orang yang terbagi dalam 4 kelompok tani dan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan statistika inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persepsi petani terhadap Program AUTP di Desa Marga Kaya Kecamatan Jati Agung Kabupaten Lampung Selatan termasuk ke dalam klasifikasi cukup baik. Jenis pendidikan nonformal, interaksi sosial, tingkat pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup dan tingkat pengetahuan petani tentang Program berhubungan nyata dengan tingkat persepsi petani terhadap Program AUTP. Kata kunci : persepsi, petani, Program AUTP. ABSTRACT This study aims to find out perception of farmers toward Rice Farming Insurance Program (AUTP) and to analyze factors related to the perception of farmers on the AUTP in Marga Kaya Village of Jati Agung Sub-District South Lampung Regency. Determination of sampling uses proporsional random sampling. Respondents are 64 farmers members of 4 farmer groups. The data analysis method uses descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that perception of farmers toward the AUTP in Marga Kaya Village of Jati Agung Sub-District South Lampung Regency is in good enough classification. Factors significantly related perception farmers are type of nonformal education, social interactions, level of needs fullfillment life, and the level of knowledge farmers about the program.
