- This research aims to determine the effect of various scarification treatments on the germination of tree saga seeds (Adenanthera pavonina L.). This study used a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were P0 was control, P1 was soaked using distilled water for 24 hours, P2 was soaked using hot water 60 °C for 15 minutes, P3 was sanded skin, P4 was soaked using 1% H 2 SO for 30 minutes, and P5 was soaked using goat urine for 30 minutes. The data obtained were analyzed by Analysis of Variance and continued with the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) level of 5%. The results showed that the treatment had a very significant effect (P <0,01) on germination rate. The best treatment that can increase the germination of a tree saga seeds (Adenanthera pavonina L.) is by eroding the seed skin using sandpaper. This treatment can produce an average germination of 78,89%, while the treatment that produce the highest abnormal seeds was found in the treatment by soaking using 1% H 4 for 30 minutes. The treatment that produced normal seeds, dead seeds, and the highest fungus-stricken seeds were found in the treatment by eroding the seed skin using sandpaper. The treatment that produces the highest hard seed is in the treatment without treatment. Keywords: germination, saga, scarification Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai perlakuan skarifikasi terhadap daya kecambah pada biji saga pohon (Adenanthera pavonina L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu perlakuan tanpa perlakuan (P0), biji direndam menggunakan aquades selama 24 jam (P1), biji direndam menggunakan air panas 60° C selama 15 menit (P2), biji diamplas kulitnya (P3), biji direndam menggunakan H 2 SO 1% selama 30 menit (P4), dan biji direndam menggunakan urin kambing selama 30 menit (P5). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap daya kecambah. Perlakuan terbaik yang dapat meningkatkan daya berkecambah saga pohon (Adenanthera pavonina L.), yaitu dengan cara pengikisan kulit benih menggunakan amplas. Perlakuan ini dapat menghasilkan rata-rata nilai daya kecambah sebesar 78,89%, sedangkan perlakuan yang menghasilkan kecambah abnormal tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan dengan cara direndam menggunakan H 2 SO 4 4 1% selama 30 menit. Perlakuan yang menghasilkan kecambah normal, benih mati, dan benih terserang jamur tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan dengan cara pengikisan kulit benih menggunakan amplas. Perlakuan yang menghasilkan benih keras tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan tanpa perlakuan. Kata kunci: daya kecambah, saga, skarifikasi
