- Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan sintaks/langkah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) dengan mengintegrasikan masalah open-ended yang valid dan praktis serta efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa. Penelitian ini mengacu pada Borg & Gall dimulai dari penelitian dan pengumpulan data, perencanaan pengembangan desain produk awal, uji coba lapangan awal, revisi hasil uji coba lapangan awal dan uji coba lapangan.. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) sintaks/langkah model cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) dengan mengintegrasikan masalah open-ended yang meliputi orientasi, organisasi, pengenalan konsep, analisis, publikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan memiliki kriteria valid dan praktis, dan (2) model cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) yang mengintegrasikan masalah open-ended efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa. Kata kunci: berpikir reflektif, cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC), masalah open-ended ABSTRACT This research aims to produce a syntax/step cooperative learning model type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) which integrates openended problems with valid, practical, and effective in improving students' reflektive thinking ability. This design of this study was carried out with reference to Borg and Gall that began with research and data collection, product development planning, initial product development, initial field trials, revised result of initial field trials, and field trials. The research subjects were students of grade VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2019/2020. Research data was obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests of reflektive thinking ability. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and t-test. The results showed that (1) the syntax/step cooperative learning model type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) which integrates open-ended problems has valid and practical criteria, and (2) cooperative learning model type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) which integrates open-ended problems effective to improve reflektive thinking ability of students.
