- Masalah penelitian ini adalah melihat proses transmisi nilai karakter tigel tarei dalam pembelajaran seni tari di SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses transmisi nilai karakter tigel tarei dalam pembelajaran seni tari di SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung.Penelitian ini menggunakan teori simbol, teori nilai karakter dan teori transmisi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode lapangan dan kepustakaan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa wawancara langsung terhadap narasumber seperti budayawan, guru seni budaya, 7 orang siswa kelas X yang mengikuti kelas ekstrakurikuler tari di SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung , buku-buku, paper dan sepuluh ragam gerak tigel tarei. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil analisis terhadap proses transmisi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam tigel tarei berdasarkan nilai pendidikan karakter berbasis agama dan budaya, peneliti menemukan lima nilai pedidikan karakter yaitu, nilai pendidikan karakter pandangan hidup, nilai pendidikan karakter berani, nilai pendidikan karakter bijaksana, nilai pendidikan karakter tanggung jawab, dan nilai pendidikan karakter malu. Nilai Pandangan hidup digambarkan cara manusia yang memiliki pandangan hidup akan mengikuti kata hati nuraninya, perasaannya, pikirannya, dan perilakunya berdasarkan hal-hal yang dianggap ideal itu yakni prinsip benar, baik dan pantas. Guru memberikan contoh bijaksana digambarkan dari bagaimana tidak adanya sikap memaksa antara satu sama lain. Tanggung jawab digambarkan dari seseorang yang berani merantau demi menggapai cita-cita namun tetap selalu mengawasi apa yang telah diwariskan terhadapnya. Kata kunci : nilai karakter, tigel tarei, dan transmisi. The purpose of this study is to find out the process of the character value transmission of tigel tarei in learning of dance art in Senior High School 3 Bandar Lampung. This study aims to describe the process of the character value transmission of tigel tarei in learning of dance art in Senior High School 3 Bandar Lampung. This study uses symbol theory, character value theory and transmission theory. The method that used is the field method and literature. The data source in this study is in the form of direct interview with the speakers such as cultural, art and cultural teachers, seven of tenth grade students who take dance extracurricular classes in Senior High School 3 Bandar Lampung, books, papers and ten of tigel tarei movements. Data collection techniques that used are observation, documentation, and interview. The result of this study shows that the results of the analysis toward the transmission process of the character education values in tigel tarei based on character education values based on religion and culture, researcher finds five character education values such as character education value of life view, character education value of brave, character education value of wise, character education value of responsible and character education value of shy. The value of life view is described by the way of human who has a view of life will follow the conscience, feeling, thought and behavior based on the things that are considered ideal, then namely the principle of right, good and proper. Teacher given exemple wise is described from how there is no coercive attitude between one and another. Responsible is described from someone who dared to wander for achieving the ideals but still always oversees what has been given to the someone.
