- Pembangunan pada dasarnya merupakan suatu proses yang meliputi perubahan dalam kesejahteraan yang dimana aspek tersebut menjadi sebagian dari indikator pelaksanaan pembangunan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan, Dimana di dalamnya terdapat perubahan dalam masyarakat dengan adanya pembangunan jalan tol seperti pekerjaan,pendapatan, kulaitas rumah dan pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Dampak Keberadaan Jalan Tol Trans Sumatra Terhadap kesejahteraan Masyarakat Desa Jatimulyo Kecamatan Jati Agung Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode pengumpulan data secara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian di Desa Jatimulyo Kecamatan Jati Agung Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan dampak dari pembangunan jalan tol, seperti segi pekerjaan, masyarakat menyatakan bahwa pekerjaan mereka baik sebelum maupun setelah pembangunan jalan tol Trans Sumatera tidak mengalami perubahan. Begitu pula pendapatan yang mereka peroleh juga tidak banyak yang berubah setelah adanya pembangunan jalan tol Trans Sumatera. Masyarakat Jatimulyo menyatakan bahwa tempat tinggal yang mereka miliki saat ini lebih baik dari tempat tinggal mereka sebelum adanya pembangunan jalan tol Trans Sumatera. Melihat secara umum, meskipun pekerjaan dan pendapatan mereka tidak banyak yang berubah. Namun, kompensasi ganti untung yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah tersebut dapat dirasakan oleh warga masyarakat yang lahannya terkena dampak pembebasan lahan. Kata Kunci: Pembangunan, Jalan Tol Trans Sumatra, Kesejahteraan Masyarakat. The purpose of this study was to determine the Impact of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road Existence on the Welfare of the People of Jatimulyo Village, Jati Agung Subdistrict, South Lampung. This research uses descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach and data collection methods by observation, interviews, and documentation. The research location was in Jatimulyo Village, Jati Agung Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency. The results of this study indicate the impact of toll road construction, such as in terms of work, the community stated that their work both before and after the construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road did not change. Likewise, the income they earned also did not change much after the construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road. The Jatimulyo community stated that the place of residence they have now is better than where they lived before the construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road. Looking in general, even though their jobs and income do not change much.
