  • Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk (a) menghasilkan produk berupa model guided inquiry yang valid dan praktis meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa, dan (b) mengetahui model guided inquiry hasil pengembangan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitan ini mengacu pada Borg & Gall. Prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu penelitian dan pengumpulan data (analisis kebutuhan), perencanaan pengembangan desain produk awal, uji coba lapangan awal, revisi hasil uji coba lapangan awal dan uji coba lapangan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (a) model guided inquiry hasil pengembangan memiliki kriteria valid dan praktis, dan (b) model guided inquiry hasil pengembangan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Dilihat dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa, terdapat perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model guided inquiry hasil pengembangan dengan rata-rata 0,52 dan model guided inquiry biasa dengan rata-rata 0,41. Kata kunci: guided inquiry, kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis ABSTRACT This research is a development research that aims to (a) produce products in the form of valid and practical guided inquiry models to improve students 'mathematical critical thinking skills, and (b) find guided inquiry models as a result of effective development in improving students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. This research refers to Borg & Gall. The research procedures carried out are research and data collection (needs analysis), planning of initial product design development, initial field trials, revision of the results of initial field trials and field trials. The population of this research is all VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2019/2020. Research data obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests of mathematical critical thinking skills. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and t-test. The results showed that, (a) the guided inquiry model the results of the development had valid and practical criteria, and (b) the guided inquiry model the results of the development were effective in increasing students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. Judging from the students 'mathematical critical thinking skills, there are differences in the average increase in students' critical thinking skills using the guided inquiry model of development with an average of 0.52 and the normal guided inquiry model with an average of 0.41.
