- Program Relawan Demokrasi adalah gerakan sosial yang dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi dan kualitas pemilih dalam menggunakan hak pilih. Relawan demokrasi menjadi mitra KPU dalam menjalankan agenda sosialisasi dan pendidikan pemilih berbasis kabupaten/kota. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peran Relawan Demokrasi dalam Meningkatkan Partisipasi Pemilihan Umum 2019 di Kota Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subyek penelitian ditentukan melalui metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Peran relawan demokrasi dalam mencapai tujuannya yaitu Meningkatkan Kualitas Proses Pemilu, Meningkatkan Partisipasi Pemilih, Meningkatkan Kepercayaan Publik Terhadap Proses Demokrasi, Membangkitkan Kesukarelaan Masyarakat Sipil dalam Agenda Pemilu dan Demokratisasi, dengan memberikan sosialiasi dan pemahaman terkait pentingnya demokrasi serta teknis dalam memberikan hak suara pada hari pemilihan. Sehingga masyarakat dapat menjadi pemilih yang cerdas dalam memilih dan dapat berperan secara aktif dalam proses demokrasi dengan memberikan pengetahuan seputar demokrasi dan pendidikan politik untuk penyadaran kepada masyarakat betapa pentingnya demokrasi. Berdasarkan hasil rekapitulasi perolehan suara Kota Bandar Lampung, relawan demokrasi Kota Bandar Lampung di nilai cukup baik dilihat dari tingkat partisipasi masyarakat pada Pemilu 2019 meningkat. Kata Kunci : Peran, Relawan Demokrasi, Partisipasi Pemilu, KPU Kota Bandar Lampung, The Volunteer Democracy Program is a social movement intended to increase the participation and quality of voters in exercising their right to vote. Democratic volunteers become KPU's partners in running the regency/city-based voter education and voter education agenda. This study aims to determine the Role of Democratic Volunteers in Increasing 2019 Election Participation in Bandar Lampung City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data sources obtained through interviews and documentation studies. The research subjects were determined through a purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the role of democratic volunteers in achieving their goals is to improve the quality of the electoral process, increase voter participation, increase public trust in the democratic process, arouse volunteerism of civil society in the election and democratization agenda, by providing socialization and understanding related to the importance of democracy and technicalities in providing voting rights on election day. So that people can be smart voters in choosing and can play an active role in the democratic process by providing knowledge about democracy and political education to raise awareness to the public how important democracy is. Based on the results of the recapitulation of the vote in Bandar Lampung City, democratic volunteers at KPU Bandar Lampung are considered to be quite good in terms of the level of community participation in the 2019 elections.
