- Kebun Raya Liwa terletak di Desa Kubu Perahu, Kecamatan Balik Bukit, Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Kebun Raya Liwa memiliki luas 86 ha, dibangun pada tahun 2007 bertemakan Tanaman Hias Indonesia. Kebun Raya Liwa adalah salah satu destinasi yang sedang dikembangkan untuk kegiatan wisata dan dijadikan objek rekreasi. Salah satu fungsi Kebun Raya Liwa adalah sebagai tempat wisata. Tumbuhan-tumbuhan di Kebun Raya Liwa sangat asri sehingga Kebun Raya Liwa menjadi habitat burung karena memiliki sumber pakan yang melimpah untuk burung. Oleh karena itu perlu perlu dilakukan inventarisasi jenis burung untuk mengetahui jenis burung yang potensial dijadikan objek wisata (birdwatching) di Kebun Raya Liwa. Penelitianinidilaksanakanpada pada tanggal 12 sampai 20 Oktober 2019. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode point count dan rapid assessment. Berdasarkan pengamatan di lapangan ditemukan 14 jenis burung yang tidak dilindungi dan hanya 1 jenis burung yang masuk dalam kategori dilindungi. Dan ditemukan 8 jenis tumbuhan yaitu 5 jenis pohon, 1 jenis tumbuhan paku-pakuan, 1 jenis tumbuhan semak, dan 1 jenis tumbuhan alang-alang. Keanekaragaman jenis burung dan jenis tumbuhan yang ada di Kebun Raya Liwa sudah cukup baik, tetapi masih kurang tertata dan diperlukan tata hijau dengan cara menanami tumbuh-tumbuhan seperti semak, alang-alang, dan pohon yang menghasilkan bunga dan buah untuk pakan burung. Dengan adanya tumbuhan yang beranekaragam maka mengundang kehadiran burung yang beranekaragam pula. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan wisata birdwatching di Kebun Raya Liwa. Katakunci:Kebun Raya Liwa,Inventarisasi jenisburung, Birdwatching. The Liwa Botanical Garden is located in Kubu Perahu Village, Balik Bukit District, West Lampung Regency. The Liwa Botanical Garden has an area of 86 ha, built in 2007 with the theme of Indonesian Ornamental Plants. The Liwa Botanical Garden is one of the destinations that is being developed for tourism activities and used as a recreational object. One of the functions of the Liwa Botanical Garden is as a tourist spot. Plants in the Liwa Botanical Garden are so beautiful that the Liwa Botanical Garden is a bird habitat because it has an abundant source of food for birds. Therefore it is necessary to do an inventory of bird species by conducting research to find out potential bird species that are used as tourist attractions (birdwatching) at the Liwa Botanical Garden. This research was conducted on 12 to 20 October 2019. The method used was the point count method and rapid assessment. Based on field observations found 14 species of birds that are not protected and only 1 species of birds included in the protected category. And found 8 types of plants, namely 5 types of trees, 1 species of ferns, 1 species of bushes, and 1 type of reeds. The diversity of birds and plant species in the Liwa Botanical Garden is good enough, but it is still poorly organized and a green system is required by planting plants such as shrubs, reeds, and trees that produce flowers and fruit for bird feed. With the presence of diverse plants, it also invites the presence of diverse birds. This research is expected to be the basis for the development of birdwatching tourism in the Liwa Botanical Garden.
