  • Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan mengembangkan pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy siswa yang valid, praktis serta efektif. Prosedur penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan oleh Borg & Gall yaitu studi pendahuluan, penelitian, pengembangan desain, uji coba lapangan awal, revisi hasil uji lapangan terbata, uji pelakasaan lapangan, revisi hasi uji lapangan lebih luas, uji kelayakan, revisi final hasil uji kelayakan, desiminasi dan implementasi produk akhir, akan tetapi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan hanya sampai tahap ke enam subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Bandar Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes. Desain divalidasi oleh ahli desain model pembelajaran, sedangkan perangkat pembelajaran divalidasi ahli materi, ahli media serta praktisi pendidikan. Selanjutnya desain direvisi sesuai dengan pendapat ahli. Disimpulkan bahwa Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy dengan pembelajaran problem based learning lebih efektif dibanding dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Kata kunci : Problem Based Learning, Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Self Efficacy. abstract This research is aimed to develop Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities and valid, practical and effective student self-efficacy. This research development was in replication to the research development done by borg & gall, research and information collecting, planning, developing preliminary of products, preliminary testing ,main product revision ,main field test, operational product revision , operational field testing, final product revision, dissemination and implementation, but in this study it was carried out only to the sixth stage. The subject of this research was the eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Bandar Lampung. Data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The design is validated by the learning model design expert, while the learning device is validated by the material expert, media expert and education practitioner. Furthermore the design was revised according to expert opinion. It was concluded that the ability to solve mathematical problems and self efficacy with problem based learning is more effective than the ability to solve mathematical problems with conventional learning.
