  • Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan buku ajar berbasis project based learning yang layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar, pada Tema 1 Organ Gerak Hewan dan Manusia Subtema 4 Kegiatan Berbasis Proyek. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan merujuk teori Borg & Gall. Populasi penelitian adalah 394 peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Rajabasa Kota Bandarlampung. Penentuan sampel penelitian dengan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh 25 peserta didik kelas VB SD Negeri 3 Rajabasa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 25 peserta didik kelas VA SD Negeri 1 Rajabasa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket kecerdasan emosional untuk mengukur kecerdasan emosional peserta didik, angket untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk, serta wawancara dan observasi untuk mengetahui tanggapan pendidik dan peserta didik terhadap produk. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar berbasis project based learning yang dikembangkan layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional peserta didik. Kelayakan buku ajar dibuktikan melalui hasil validasi ahli materi, ahli media, ahli bahasa, dan praktisi dengan kriteria “sangat valid, sangat tuntas, dan dapat digunakan”. Keefektifannya dibuktikan dengan hasil pretest dan posttest kecerdasan emosional pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh N-gain sebesar 63% dengan kategori “cukup efektif” lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol yaitu 34% dengan kategori “tidak efektif”. Hal tersebut juga didukung hasil uji t independen, yaitu 19,13 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada kecerdasan emosional peserta didik setelah pembelajaran. Keywords: Buku Ajar, Kecerdasan Emosional, Project Based Learning, ABSTRACT This study aims to develop textbook based on the project based learning that are feasible and effective to improve emotional intelligence of grade 5th students in elementary schools, on Theme 1 Animal and Human Motion Organs Sub themes 4 Project Based Activities. Type of research is research and development that refers to Borg & Gall Theory. The study population were 394 grade V students in elementary schools in the Rajabasa Subdistrict of Bandarlampung City who had implemented the 2013 curriculum. The subject were 50 students divided into experiment class (N=25) and control class (N=25) with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used were emotional intelligence quistionnaires to measure students emotional intelligence, quistionnaires to determaine product eligibility, interviews and observations to determine the responses of educators and student to the product. Research methods are split broadly into quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that textbook based on the project based learning that were developed was feasible and effective to improve students emotional intelligence. The feasibility of textbooks is proven through the validation test of materials experst, media experts, linguists, and practitioner with the criteria “very valid, very complete, and usable”. The effectiveness is proven by results of the pretest and posttest emotional intelligence in the experimental class obtained N-gain 63% with category “quite effective” is greater than the control class that is 34% with category “less affective”. This is also supported by the results of the independent t test with a tcount 19.13 significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means an improve in siginfikan on the emotional intelligence of students after learning. Student reponses showed that almost all students expressed interested in using textbook based on the project based learning. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Project Based Learning, Textbook
