- ABSTRAK PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK ETANOL RIMPANG KUNYIT (Curcuma domestica) TERHADAP GAMBARAN HISTOPATOLOGI ARTERI KORONARIA TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus norvegicus) JANTAN GALUR Sprague dawley YANG DIINDUKSI MINYAK JELANTAH Oleh ARSYKA HUNJRI AR-RAHMAH Latar belakang: Konsumsi minyak jelantah yang berkepanjangan dapat meningkatkan kadar radikal bebas dan asam lemak bebas dalam tubuh. Rimpang kunyit berperan sebagai zat antioksidan, antiinflamasi, dan efek protektif pada pembuluh darah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit (Curcuma domestica) terhadap gambaran histopatologi arteri koronaria tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan galur Sparague dawley yang diinduksi minyak jelantah. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental menggunakan metode rancangan acak terkontrol dengan desain penelitian post test only control group. Populasi berupa tikus jantan galur Sprague dawley berjumlah 25 ekor berusia 8-10 minggu, terbagi dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 6 minggu dan dinilai perubahan diameter lumen arteri koronaria. Hasil: Rerata diameter lumen arteri koronaria pada tikus K- (pakan standar dan aquades): 61,36±6,91 μm, K+ (minyak jelantah 8x penggorengan): 39,36±11,47 μm, P1 (minyak jelantah 8x penggorengan + ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit 25 mg): 48,46±6,33 μm, P2 (minyak jelantah 8x penggorengan + ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit 50 mg): 71,97±6,94 μm, P3 (minyak jelantah 8x penggorengan + ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit 100 mg): 61,51±201,10 μm. Nilai p uji Kruskal Wallis adalah 0,014 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit (Curcuma domestica) terhadap gambaran histopatologi arteri koronaria tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan galur Sprague dawley yang diinduksi minyak jelantah. Kata kunci: Diameter lumen arteri koronaria, Minyak Jelantah, Rimpang kunyit ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF TURMERIC RHIZOME ETHANOL EXTRACT (Curcuma domestica) TO CORONARY ARTERY HISTOPATHOLOGY OF MALE WHITE RATS (Rattus norvegicus) Sprague dawley STRAIN INDUCED BY REUSED COOKING OIL By ARSYKA HUNJRI AR-RAHMAH Background: Prolonged consumption of reused cooking oil can increase levels of free radicals and free fatty acids in the body. The function of turmeric rhizome acts as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and protective effect on blood vessels. This experiment aims to determine the effect of the administration of turmeric (Curcuma domestica) rhizome extract on the coronary artery histopathology of white rat (Rattus norvegicus) male Sparague dawley strain induced by reused cooking oil. Method: This type of research is an experimental study using a randomized controlled method with a post test only control group design. The population was 8-10 weeks old with 25 male rats strain Sprague dawley divided into 5 experimental groups. The study was conducted for 6 weeks and assessed from changes the diameter of coronary artery. Results: The mean of coronary artery lumen diameter in rats K- (standard feed and aquades): 61.36±6.91 μm, K+ (8x reused cooking oil): 39.36±11.47 μm, P1 (8x reused cooking oil + turmeric rhizome ethanol extract dose of 25 mg): 48.46± 6.33 μm, P2 (8x reused cooking oil + turmeric rhizome ethanol extract dose of 50 mg): 71.9±6.94 μm, P3 (8x reused cooking oil + turmeric rhizome ethanol extract dose of 100 mg): 61.51 ± 201.10 μm. The Kruskal Wallis test's p value was 0.014 (p <0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of giving turmeric (Curcuma domestica) ethanol extract on the coronary artery histopathology of white rat (Rattus norvegicus) male Sprague dawley strain induced by reused cooking oil.
