- ABSTRAK KEDUDUKAN ISTRI DALAM PERKAWINAN JUJUR PADA MASYARAKAT ADAT LAMPUNG SAIBATIN DI KECAMATAN PESISIR TENGAH KRUI KABUPATEN PESISIR BARAT Oleh NAUFAL AZMAR ALQAS Perkawinan jujur pada pada masyarakat adat Lampung Saibatin di Kecamatan Pesisir Tengah Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan uang jujur dari calon pengantin laki-laki kepada keluarga calon pengantin perempuan. Akibat dari pelaksanaan perkawinan jujur ini adalah kedudukan istri secara adat masuk ke dalam kekerabatan pihak suami. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, bagaimanakah pelaksanaan perkawinan jujur pada masyarakat adat Lampung Saibatin di Kecamatan Pesisir Tengah Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Kedua, bagaimanakah kedudukan istri dalam perkawinan jujur pada masyarakat adat Lampung Saibatin di Kecamatan Pesisir Tengah Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah empiris, dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif dan pendekatan empiris. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara dan studi pustaka. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan perkawinan jujur pada masyarakat adat Lampung Saibatin di Kecamatan Pesisir Tengah Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu prosesi adat sebelum perkawinan, meliputi pemilihan jodoh, perkenalan dan tempat perjodohan, lamaran dan penentuan maskawin; prosesi upacara perkawinan adat baik di rumah pengantin laki-laki maupun pengantin perempuan, serta prosesi adat menetap setelah perkawinan yang menentukan bahwa pengantin baru menetap di sekitar kediaman kaum kerabat suami. Kedudukan istri dalam perkawinan jujur pada masyarakat adat Lampung Saibatin di Kecamatan Pesisir Tengah Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat adalah dengan diterimanya uang jujur dari pihak suami maka istri lebih rendah dibandingkan suami, harta bawaan istri disatukan ke dalam harta suami dan menjadi milik suami, istri masuk ke dalam keluarga inti dan kekerabatan suami, dan kedudukan isteri diakui atau diterima oleh masyarakat adat. The result of the implementation of an Jujur marriage is that the wife customarily enters into the kinship of the husband. The problem in this study. First, how to conduct an Jujur marriage to the indigenous people of Lampung Saibatin in the Central Coast District of Krui West Coast District. Secondly, what is the position of the wife in Jujur marriage people of Lampung Saibatin custom in the Central Coast District of Krui West Coast Regency. The type of research used is empirical normative, with descriptive research type and empirical approach. Data collection is done using interview techniques and library studies. Qualitative data analysis was performed. The results of the research and discussion show that the practice of Jujur marriage in the indigenous people of Lampung Saibatin in the Central Coast District of Krui West Coast Regency is carried out in three stages namely the customary process before marriage, including mate selection, introduction and placement, application and determination of masculinity; customary wedding ceremonies in both the home of the groom and the bride, as well as the customary process of settling after the marriage which determines that the newlyweds reside around the residence of the relatives. The position of the wife in Jujur marriages in the indigenous people of Lampung Saibatin in the Central Coast District of Krui West Coast Regency is by receiving Jujur money from the husband then the wife is lower than the husband, the wife's estate is consolidated into the husband's estate and the husband's property, the wife enters the husband's core family and kinship, and his wife's position is recognized or accepted by the indigenous people.
