  • Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk (a) menghasilkan produk berupa pengembangan pembelajaran Guided Discovery yang valid dan praktis dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa, dan (b) menghasilkan pembelajaran Guided Discovery yang dikembangkan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengacu pada Borg & Gall. Prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, dan main field testing. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 30 Bandar Lampung pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar wawancara, lembar validasi, angket tanggapan siswa dan guru, serta soal tes berpikir kritis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan statistik parametrik (Uji-t). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa, (a) pembelajaran Guided Discovery yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria valid dan praktis, dan (b) pembelajaran Guided Discovery yang dikembangkan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Dilihat dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, terdapat perbedaan ratarata peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang menggunakan pengembangan pembelajaran Guided Discovery dengan rata-rata 76,72 dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dengan rata-rata 72,39. Oleh karena itu pengembangan pembelajaran Guided Discovery layak digunakan karena telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. ABSTRACT This research is a research and development that aims to (a) produce products in the form of developing Guided Discovery learning that is valid and practical in improving students 'mathematical critical thinking skills, and (b) produce Guided Discovery learning is developed effectively in increasing students' critical mathematical thinking abilities. This research was conducted with reference to Borg & Gall. The research procedures carried out include research and information collecting, planning, developing preliminary forms of product, preliminary field testing, playing product revision, and playing field testing. The subjects of the study were the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 30 Bandar Lampung in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Data collection uses interview sheets, validation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires, and critical thinking test questions. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and parametric statistik (t-test). Based on the research results obtained that, (a) Guided Discovery learning developed had valid and practical criteria, and (b) Guided Discovery learning developed was effective in increasing students' mathematical critical thinking skills. Judging from the ability to think mathematically critical, there are differences in the average increase in students' mathematical critical thinking abilities that use Guided Discovery learning development with an average of 76.72 and mathematical critical thinking abilities of students who use conventional learning with an average of 72.39. Therefore the development of Guided Discovery learning is feasible to use because it meets the valid, practical and effective criteria for improving students' mathematical critical thinking skills.
