- Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah mayoritas anak usia dini 5-6 tahun masih kesulitan dalam berpikir simbolik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media terhadap kemampuan berpikir simbolik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat Pre-Experimental Design dengan jenis One Grup Pretest-Posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian sebanyak 75 anak, sedangkan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 30 anak Purposive Sampling. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian digunakan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi, sedangkan data analisis dengan analisis tabel dan analisis uji hipotesis digunakan rumus Regresi Sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang positif antara penggunaan media terhadap kemampuan berpikir simbolik sebesar 3,69ini berarti bahwa penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran dapat menstimulasi perkembangan anak dalam hal berpikir simbolik. Kata Kunci: anak usia dini, berpikir simbolik, penggunaan media The problem in this study is that the majority of children aged 5-6 years still have difficulty in symbolic thinking. This study aims to determine the effect of media use with the ability to think symbolically. This research is a quantitative researh using Pre-Experimental Design with a type of One Pretest-Posttest Group. The population in the study 75 children,while the samples taken were 30 children Purposive Sampling. Technique the data were obtained by using observation and documentation techniques, while data analysis was done by using analysis of tables and analysis of hypothesis testing with Simple Regression formula. The results showed that there was a positive influence between the use of media and the ability of symbolicthinking 3.69.This means that the use of media in learning can stimulate children's development in terms of symbolic thinking.
