- i ABSTRACT DEVELOPING TEACHING MATERIALS USING GROUP INVESTIGATION METHOD TO FACILITATE STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN PROBLEM SOLVING AND MATHEMATICAL DISPOSITION By SUSLINA YANTI This research and developmental study (R&D study) aimed to develop teaching materials using group investigation methods to facilitate students' problem solving abilities and mathematical dispositions. The group investigation method imposed in this study was a problem-based learning material. Teaching materials using the investigation method are a learning method that leads to the topic of the problem, planning, investigation, report, presentation, and evaluation. Problem solving ability is the ability of the students to understand problems, plan problem solving, implement problem solving plans, re-check the truth of the resolution of all aspects that exist in a situation or a given problem. Mathematical disposition is the view and behavior of the students to solve the problems presented. The subject of this study was the eighth grade students of Junior High School of Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung in Academic Year 2017/2018. The data was obtained through the result of post-test. The results showed that the Teaching Materials accompanied by instructions with lower middle level ability had the optimal effect of making the students work together in groups and challenged to solve them. The questions presented were also supported in the form of short dialogues with interesting color images, using languages that were often heard by the students in everyday life. Teaching materials using group investigation methods can facilitate students' problem solving abilities. Key words: Group Investigation, Mathematical Disposition, Teaching materials Using Group Investigation. ii ABSTRAK PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR DENGAN METODE INVESTIGASI KELOMPOK UNTUK MEMFASILITASI KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN DISPOSISI MATEMATIS SISWA Oleh SUSLINA YANTI Penelitian pengembangan (Research & Development) ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Bahan Ajar dengan metode investigasi kelompok untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematis siswa. Metode investigasi kelompok yang dimaksud adalah suatu bahan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah. Bahan ajar dengan metode investigasi adalah suatu metode pembelajaran yang mengarah pada topik permasalahan, perencanaan, investigasi, laporan, persentasi, dan evaluasi. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah kemampuan siswa dalam memahami masalah, merencanakan pemecahan masalah, melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian masalah, melakukan pengecakan kembali kebenaran penyelesaian terhadap semua aspek yang ada dalam suatu situasi ataupun suatu masalah yang diberikan. Disposisi matematis adalah pandangan dan prilaku dalam diri siswa untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang disajikan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui hasil posttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Bahan Ajar menggunakan metode pemecahan masalah menunjukkan bahwa Bahan Ajar yang disertai petunjuk dengan tingkat kemampuan menengah ke bawah memiliki pengaruh maksimal yaitu membuat siswa dapat bekerja sama dalam kelompok dan tertantang menyelesaikannya. Soal yang disajikan di dukung juga dalam bentuk dialog singkat disertai gambar berwarna yang menarik, menggunakan bahasa yang sering di dengar oleh siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Bahan Ajar dengan metode investigasi kelompok dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Kata kunci: Invetigasi Kelompok, Bahan Ajar dengan Investigasi Kelompok, Disposisi Matematis
