- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat partisipasi petani cabai merah anggota Koperasi Agro Siger Mandiri, tingkat efesiensi teknis dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi inefesiensi teknis, tingkat keuntungan, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keuntungan serta efisiensi ekonomi relatif usahatani cabai merah. Pengambilan data dilakukan di tujuh kecamatan yaitu : Sidomulyo, Candipuro, Kalianda, Palas, Penengahan, Ketapang, dan Bakauheni Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dari bulan September 2017 –Januari 2018. Jumlah responden adalah 41 orang petani cabai merah anggota Koperasi Agro Siger mandiri yang diambil secara sensus. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, fungsi produksi frontier, analisis pendapatan dan fungsi keuntungan Unit Output Price. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi anggota koperasi dalam menghadiri RAT serta membayar simpanan wajib tergolong tinggi, akan tetapi dalam pemanfaatan layanan unit usaha tergolong rendah. Usahatani cabai merah sangat efisien secara teknis. Usahatani cabai merah menguntungkan bagi petani. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keuntungan adalah luas lahan, harga benih per produksi, harga pupuk kandang per produksi, harga pestisida per produksi, upah tenaga kerja per produksi, dan kelompok tanam. Efisiensi ekonomi kelompok tanam satu lebih tinggi dari kelompok tanam dua. Kata kunci : cabai merah, efisiensi, koperasi, stochastic frontier. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the level of participation of red chili farmers members of Agro Siger Mandiri Cooperative, technical efficiency level and factors that influence technical inefficiency, profit level, factors that influence profits and the relative economic efficiency of red chili farming. Data collection was carried out in seven subdistricts, namely: Sidomulyo, Candipuro, Kalianda, Palas, Penengahan, Ketapang, and Bakauheni, South Lampung Regency from September 2017 - January 2018. The number of respondents was 41 red chili farmers who were members of the independent Agro Siger Mandiri Cooperative taken in census . Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis, frontier production function, income analysis and profit function Unit Output Price. The results showed the level of participation of cooperative members in attending RAT and paying basic mandatory classified as high, but the utilization of business unit services was classified as low. Red chili farming is very technically efficient. Red chili farming is beneficial for farmers. The influence factors for the profits of red chili farming are land area, price of seeds per production, price of manure per production, price of pesticides per production ,wages of labor per production, and planting groups. Economic efficiency of one planting group is higher than the two planting group. Keywords: cooperatives, efficiency, red chili, stochastic frontier.
