- Target KPU dalam hal partisipasi politik (pemilu) penyandang disabilitas sebesar 77,5%, tetapi target tersebut belum dapat terpenuhi di setiap daerah. Sebagai contoh Kota Metro, Provinsi Lampung pada Pemilihan Gubernur Provinsi Lampung Tahun 2018 yang lalu. Tingkat partisipasi penyandang disabilitas hanya tercapai sebesar 72,97%. Hal ini mengindikasikan banyak hal yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi penyandang disabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui hubungan persepsi penyandang disabilitas di Kota Metro dengan tingkat partisipasi dalam Pemilihan Gubernur Lampung 2018, (2) mengetahui hubungan hambatan penyandang disabilitas di Kota Metro dengan tingkat partisipasi dalam Pilgub Lampung Tahun 2018. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 61 orang penyandang disabilitas di Kota Metro. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuisioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, pertama, yaitu terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara persepsi penyandang disabilitas terhadap pilkada dengan tingkat partisipasinya dalam pilkada. Kedua, yaitu terdapat korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara hambatan penyandang disabilitas dengan tingkat partisipasinya dalam pilkada. Ketiga, variabel persepsi penyandang disabilitas terhadap pilkada dan hambatan penyandang disabilitas secara bersama-sama berhubungan secara signifikan dengan tingkat partisipasi dalam pelaksanaan Pemilihan Gubernur Lampung Tahun 2018. The results showed, first, that there was a significant correlation between the perceptions of persons with disabilities towards the election and the level of participation in the elections. Second, that is, there is a negative significant correlation between the barriers of persons with disabilities and their level of participation in the elections. Third, the variable perception of persons with disabilities on local elections and barriers for persons with disabilities together relate significantly to the level of participation in the implementation of the Governor of Lampung in 2018.
