- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah stratifikasi sosial di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas 1 Bandar Lampung dan mengetahui bentuk stratifikasi sosial yang terjadi di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas 1 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Fokus penelitian ini berupa stratifikasi sosial di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas 1 Bandar Lampung dan mengetahui bentuk stratifikasi sosial yang terjadi di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I Bandar Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu wawancara mendalam. Informan dalam penelitian berjumlah enam orang. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa masih terdapat stratifikasi di Lapas Kelas 1 Bandar Lampung, yaitu stratifikasi yang terjadi antarsesama narapidana dengan strata rendah terhadap narapidana yang lebih mampu memberikan sesuatu berupa tindakan ataupun dalam bentuk barang. Stratifikasi juga terjadi atas perilaku narapidana itu sendiri, seperti apabila seorang narapidana tidak dapat dilibatkan dalam kegiatan dengan berbagai alasan, maka narapidana tersebut akan jarang dilibatkan dalam kegiatan-kegiatan berikutnya. Selain itu, terdapat stratifikasi dari sistem ketatalaksanaan terhadap narapidana berdasarkan kemampuan dan ilmu yang dimilikinya, yaitu seseorang yang lebih mahir dalam beribadah akan ada kemungkinan dilibatkan dalam kegiatan agama, bahkan menjadi santri. Stratifikasi lain yaitu terdapat stratifikasi di masing-masing blok. Seperti blok D yang merupakan pesantren tidak akan menemukan rekan sesama narapidana yang berperilaku kasar atau berkelahi seperti di blok lainnya. SOCIAL STRATIFICATION OF PRISONERS IN CLASS 1 CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION BANDAR LAMPUNG This study aims to find out whether there is any social stratification in the Bandar Lampung class I correctional institution and to find out the forms of social stratification that occur at the Bandar Lampung class I correctional institution. This study uses a qualitative approach. The focus of this study is in the form of social stratification in the Bandar Lampung class I correctional institution and to find out the forms of social stratification that occur in the class I correctional institution Bandar Lampung. The data collection technique in this study is in-depth interviews. The research informants were 6 people. The results showed that there were still stratifications in Bandar Lampung class 1 prisons, namely stratification that was found from fellow inmates to the inmates who were better able to give something in the form of action, or in the form of goods. Stratification also occurs with the behavior of the assisted people themselves. As if an inmate cannot be involved in an activity, it will rarely be involved in the following activities. In addition, there are instances of stratification from the management of the assisted people based on their skills and knowledge, that is, someone who is more proficient in worship will likely be involved in religious activities, even become santri. Another stratification is stratification in each block. Like Blok D, which is a pesantren, it will not find coarse fellow prisoners or fighting like in other blocks.
