- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui estimasi nilai korelasi genetik bobot lahir dan bobot sapih pada Kambing Saburai di Kecamatan Gisting dan Kecamatan Sumberejo, Kabupaten Tanggamus.Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Juli—Agustus 2018, bertempat di Kecamatan Gisting dan Kecamatan Sumberejo Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan menggunakan data rekording dan kuisoner. Peubah yang diamati yaitu bobot lahir induk, bobot sapih induk, bobot lahir cempe, bobot sapih cempe, umur penyapihan, umur induk pada waktu melahirkan, tipe kelahiran cempe, dan jenis kelamin cempe. Hasil penelitian di Kecamatan Gisting menunjukkan bahwa ratarata bobot lahir induk sebesar 3,20±0,55, bobot sapih induk 12,10±2,29, bobot lahir anak 3,30±0,53, bobot sapih anak 11,70±2,41dan di Kecamatan Sumberejo menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata bobot lahir induk sebesar 3,00±0,38, bobot sapih induk 12,20±2,28,bobot lahir anak 3,20±0,43, dan bobot sapih anak 11,50±3,12. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa estimasi nilai korelasi genetik antar bobot lahir dengan bobot sapih Kambing Saburai di Kecamatan Gisting 0,40 dan di Kecamatan Sumberejo 0,37 masuk pada kategori tinggi. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the estimation of genetic correlation values of birth weights and weaning weights in Saburai goats in Gisting Districtand Sumberejo District, Tanggamus regency. The study was conducted in July—August 2018, located in Gisting District and Sumberejo District, Tanggamus Regency. The research was the survey method using the data of reconciliation and questionnaire. The variables observed were maternal birth weight of doe, weaning weight of doe, birth weight of kid, weaning weight of kid,weaning age, age at parity, birth type of kid, and sex of kid. The results of this study in Gisting District indicate that the avarage birth weightof doe was 3.20±0.55, weaning weight of doe was 12.10±2.29, birth weight of kid was 3.30±0.53, weaning weight of kid was 11.70±2.41 and in Sumberejo District indicate that the avarage birth weightof doe was 3.00±0.38, weaning weight of doe was 12.20±2.28, birth weight of kid was 3.20±0.43, weaning weight of kid was 11.50±3.12. Based on the results and discussion, it was concluded that the estimation of genetic correlation between birth weightswith weaning weight of Saburai Goat in Gisting District was 0.40 and in Sumberejo District 0.37 was in the high category.
