Lampung Post berdiri sejak tanggal 17 Juli 1974 dan terbit perdana tanggal 10
Agustus 1974 di bawah manajemen PT Masa Kini Mandiri yang menyajikan
sebuah berita maupun menerbitkan sebuah iklan. PT Masa Kini Mandiri (Surat
Kabar Harian Umum Lampung Post) dalam menjalankan perusahaan selalu
berpegang teguh dalam menjalankan visi perusahaan yaitu menjadi surat kabar
terdepan yang jujur, jernih, bermutu dan paling berpengaruh di Provinsi Lampung.
Permasalahan yang terjadi pada PT Masa Kini Mandiri (Surat Kabar Harian
Umum Lampung Post) adalah adanya turnover karyawan, dan realisasi penjualan
yang belum mencapai target.
Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap
kinerja karyawan. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 132 dari
228 populasi karyawan PT Masa Kini Mandiri (Surat Kabar Harian Umum
Lampung Post). Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala
likert. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa komitmen organisasi berpengaruh positif
dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Saran bagi PT Masa Kini Mandiri
(Surat Kabar Harian Umum Lampung Post) adalah sebaiknya perlu memberikan
motivasi kepada karyawan agar karyawan mampu berupaya lebih untuk
perusahaan penguatan komitmen, serta perlu menciptakan suasana kekeluargaan.

Abstract
THE EFFECT OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT
TO EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES PT MASA KINI
MANDIRI (DAILY NEWSPAPER LAMPUNG POST)

Lampung Post was established on July 17, 1974 and first published on August 10,

publish an advertisement. PT Masa Kini Mandiri (Daily Newspaper Lampung
Post) in running the company has always adhered in running the vision of the
company that is to be the leading newspaper honest, clear, quality and most
influential in Lampung Province. The problems that occur in PT Masa Kini
Mandiri (Daily Newspaper Lampung Post) is the existence of employee turnover,
and the realization of sales that have not reached the target.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of organizational commitment
to employee performance. The sample used in this research was 132 out of 228
employee population of PT Masa Kini Mandiri (Daily Newspaper of Lampung
Post). Methods of data collection using questionnaires with Likert scale. The
analysis tool used is simple linear regression analysis.
The results of this study indicate that organizational commitment has a positive
and significant impact on employee performance. Suggestions for PT Masa Kini
Mandiri (Daily Newspaper Lampung Post) is better to provide motivation to
employees so that employees are able to work more for companies strengthening
commitment, and need to create a family atmosphere.
