- Salah satu upaya dalam penciptaan lapangan kerja adalah dengan pembangunan pada sektor industri. Sektor industri diyakini sebagai sektor yang dapat memimpin sektor lain dalam perekonomian. Kecamatan Seputih Mataram yang terletak di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah memiliki potensi industri salah satunya industri batu bata. Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan sektor industri menjanjikan semakin luasnya kesempatan kerja dan menyerap tenaga kerja khususnya di perdesaan. Sulitnya mencari lapangan pekerjaan, kurangnya keahlian dan pendidikan yang rendah menjadi salah satu alasan sebagian masyarakat desa bekerja di industri batu bata. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel upah, harga modal dan jumlah output terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri batu bata di Kecamatan Seputih Mataram. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi liner berganda untuk menghitung dan menganalisa seberapa besar pengaruh upah pekerja, harga modal dan jumlah output terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri batu bata di Kecamatan Seputih Mataram Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Dari hasil perhitungan estimasi diperoleh hasil bahwa variabel-variabel tersebut secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sebesar 88,75 persen dan sisanya sebesar 11,25 persen dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian. LABOR ABSORPTION ANALYSIS OF BRICK INDUSTRIES IN SEPUTIH MATARAM CENTRAL LAMPUNG One of many efforts in job creation is provides a development for the industrial sector. The industrial sector is believed to be a sector that could lead another sectors in the economy. Seputih Mataram Subdistrict that located in Central Lampung has an industrial potency, one of the most potential industry is brick industry. The growth and development of the industrial sector promises employment opportunities and absorb labor, especially in rural areas. The difficulty of finding a job, lack of expertise and low education become one of many reason most of villagers work in the brick industry. This study aims to know the effect of wages rates, price capital, and output level toward labor absorption in Seputih Mataram. This study use multiple linier regression analysis to calculate and analyze how muc wages rates, price capital and level output affected labor absorption in Seputih Mataram Central Lampung. Estimation that obtained from the calculation result shows that these variables simultaneously affect the labor absorption by 88,75 percent and the remaining 11,25 percent is influenced by other variables outside of this research.
