  • Hutan rakyat desa Sukoharjo I merupakan hutan yang dikelola masyarakat desa tersebut secara lestari dan menerapkan sistem agroforestri. Hutan ini memiliki luas 200 ha dan terdapat jenis tanaman yang beragam yang terbagi dalam tiga tipe kerapatan, oleh karena itu diharapkan hutan rakyat Desa Sukoharjo I memiliki peranan penting dalam penyerapan karbon di atmosfer, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi cadangan dan serapan karbon di hutan rakyat Desa Sukoharjo I. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April-Mei 2018 di hutan rakyat Desa Sukoharjo I, Kecamatan Sukoharjo, Kabupaten Pringsewu dengan menggunakan metode persamaan allometrik dan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hutan rakyat desa Sukoharjo I tergolong hutan yang baik dalam penyimpanan cadangan karbon yang mencapai 227,29 ton/ha. Hasil dari uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil) 5 % menunjukkan bahwa hutan dengan kerapatan rendah memiliki nilai cadangan dan serapan karbon yang nyata paling rendah (54,57 ton/ha ; 200,27 ton/ha) dibandingkan kerapatan sedang dan tinggi, tetapi nilai cadangan dan serapan karbon pada kerapatan sedang (79,78 ton/ha ; 292,79 ton/ha) dengan kerapatan tinggi (92,94 ton/ha ; 341,09 ton/ha) tidak berbeda. Walaupun demikian, masih dapat dikatakan bahwa kerapatan tegakan berpengaruh dalam jumlah cadangan dan serapan karbon. Kata Kunci: cadangan karbon, hutan rakyat, penyerapan karbon, Pringsewu. ABSTRACT The private forest of Sukoharjo I village was a forest which managed by people of those village and applied by sustainable agroforestry system. This forest had an area of 200 ha and there were various types of plants that were divided into the three types of density, therefore it was expected that the private forest of Sukoharjo I Village had an important role in carbon reserve and uptake in the atmosphere, so it was necessary to do the research to find out the potential of carbon stock and carbon absorption in private forest of Sukoharjo I Village. The research was held on April-May 2018 in private forest of Sukoharjo I Village, Sukoharjo District of Pringsewu Regency that using allometric equation method and Randomized Block Design. The results showed that, private forest of Sukoharjo I Village were classified as good forests in carbon storage which reached to 227,29 tons / ha. The results of the 5% BNT (Significant Difference) test indicated that low density forests had significantly lowest reserves and carbon uptake (54,57 tons / ha; 200,27 tons / ha) than medium and high density, but the value carbon reserves and uptake at medium density (79,78 tons / ha; 292,79 tons / ha) with high density (92,94 tons / ha; 341,09 tons / ha) were no different. However, it can still be said that stand density had an effect on the amount of reserves and carbon uptake. Keywords: carbon absorption,carbon reserves, Pringsewu, private forest.
