- Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Palas tahun pelajaran 2017/2018, bertujuan untuk 1) mengembangkan model pembelajaran berupa sintaks discovery learning berbasis kontekstual, 2) menguji kelayakan model yang dikembangkan pada materi bangun datar segi empat dan segitiga, dan 3) menguji keefektifan produk hasil pengembangan. Penelitian ini mengacu pada prosedur Research And Development dari Borg and Gall yang disederhanakan menjadi enam tahap dan produk yang dihasilkan disempurnakan dengan teori desain pembelajaran ASSURE. Responden pengembangan meliputi 4 validator, praktisi, uji coba lapangan awal, dan uji lapangan. Data dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan hasil belajar kognitif dengan N-gain ternormalisasi untuk mengetahui keefektifan model, Paired sample T test untuk mengetahui sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran, Independent t-test untuk mengetahui perbedan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 1) pengembangan model pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan memperhatikan komponen model, 2) hasil pengembangan model pembelajaran layak diterapkan pada materi bangun datar segiempat dan segitiga, dan 3) model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis dan self-efficaccy siswa. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning berbasis kontekstual lebih effektif dibandingkan model discovery learning biasa. Kata kunci: Discovery Learning, Kontekstual, Berpikir Reflektif, Self-Efficacy DEVELOPING OF CONTEXTUAL BASED DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE MATHEMATICAL REFLECTIVE THINGKING ABILITY AND THE STUDENTS SELF-EFFICACY This research was conducted on the sevent class students at 1 SMP N 1 Palas in the academic year of 2017/2018. The aims of the research are 1) to develop learning models in the form of contextual based discovery learning syntax, 2) to test the feasibility of the model developed in rectangular and triangular building material, and 3) to test the effectiveness of the product from developing of the model. This research refers to the research and development procedures of Borg and Gall are simplified into six stages and the resulting product is perfected with ASSURE learning design theory. Development respondents included 4 validators practition, preliminary field test and field test. The data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive method and cognitive learning outcome with normalized N-Gain to determine the effectiveness of the model, paired sample T test to determine the difference in learning outcomes. The results of the study show 1) the development of the learning model is carried out by taking account of model components, 2) the developing result of learning model is feasible to apply to the material in the form of flat rectangles and triangles, and 3) the learning model developed is able to improve the ability of mathematical reflective thinking and the students’ self efficacy. The result of the study concluded that contextual based discovery learning model is more effective than ordinary discovery learning model.
