- Citra diri merupakan salah satu unsur penting untuk menunjukan siapa diri individu sebenarnya. Begitu pula yang terjadi dengan citra diri seorang LSL. Arti dari LSL adalah singkatan dari Lelaki Seks dengan Lelaki, diambil dari kata MSM (Men who have Sex with Men). Kelompok LSL dibagi menjadi tiga yang pertama adalah kaum waria, kedua kaum transeksual dan ketiga kaum gay. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif – fenomenologi. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditinjau dari teori interaksi simbolik yang dibagi menjadi tiga aspek; (1) Aspek Mind kaum LSL mempunyai bahasa yang unik yaitu bahasa bintil dan gesture yang ciri khas. (2) Aspek Self kaum LSL memandang dirinya sebagai seorang yang berperilaku baik, namun sebalikya masyarakat mempunyai stereotipe negatif terhadap kaum LSL. (3) Aspek Society pada unsur particular others kaum LSL berusaha menutupi dan tidak menunjukkan keakraban hubungan dengan keluarga, dan unsur generalized others kaum LSL sudah terbiasa dengan cibiran hingga hinaan dari masyarakat. Dan ditinjau dari teori citra diri kaum LSL berusaha menjadi manusia yang positif dengan tidak mengganggu dan tidak mencemarkan keburukan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Kata kunci : LSL (Lelaki Seks dengan Lelaki), Interaksi Simbolik, Citra Diri. THE INTERACTION PATTERNS OF LSL IN FORMING SELF IMAGE IN THE SOCIETY (A Study in Transvestites, Transsexuals, and Gays in Bandar Lampung) Self-image is one of the important elements to show who the real individual is. Same with self-image of LSL ‘Lelaki Suka Lelaki’. The meaning of LSL stands for Men Sex with Men, taken from the word MSM (Men who have Sex with Men). LSL are divided into transvestites, transsexuals and gays. This research uses qualitative - phenomenology methods. The results of this study in terms of the theory of symbolic interaction are divided into three aspects; (1) The Mind aspect of LSL has an unique language and gesture. (2) The Self aspects of LSL see themselves as a person who behaves well, but the society has negative stereotypes towards them. (3) The Society aspects in particular others element LSL tried to cover up and did not show familiarity with family relationships, and generalized others elements of LSL were already used to insults from the society. In terms of the self-image theory LSL trying to become positive human beings by not disturbing the society. Keywords : MSM (Men of Sex with Men), Symbolic Interaction, Self Image.
