  • Masalah yang dipaparkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengembangan LKPD menulis berita kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan model Project Based Learning untuk siswa SMP/MTs kelas VIII. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk berupa LKPD menulis berita kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan model Project Based Learning dan mendeskripsikan kelayakannya untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas VIII. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengembangan menurut Borg and Gall, dengan mengadaptasi tujuh dari sepuluh langkah yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan penelitian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran angket pada tiga sekolah di Bandar Lampung yang meliputi MTs Masyariqul Anwar Bandar Lampung, SMP Yamama Bandar Lampung, dan MTs Hidayatul Islamiyah Bandar Lampung pada tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Validasi rancangan produk dilakukan oleh ahli/pakar yang relevan dan penilaian teman sejawat, kemudian diujicobakan kepada siswa sekolah tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) telah berhasil dikembangkan produk bahan ajar berupa LKPD menulis berita kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan model Project Based Learning untuk siswa SMP/MTs kelas VIII, (2) hasil penelitian kelayakan bahan ajar secara keseluruhan dinyatakan “Sangat Layak” oleh ahli materi sebesar 86,7%, ahli media sebesar 89,8%, ahli praktisi sebesar 83,9% persen dan ahli evaluasi 88,5%. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa produk LKPD layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis berita untuk siswa SMP/MTs kelas VIII. Kata kunci: LKPD, menulis berita ekstrakurikuler, Project Based Learning ABSTRACT The problem presented in this study is the development of LKPD writing news on extracurricular activities with the Project Based Learning model for class VIII SMP / MTs students. Based on these problems, this study aims to produce products in the form of LKPD writing news on extracurricular activities with the Project Based Learning model and describing its feasibility for use in learning in class VIII. The method used in this study is development according to Borg and Gall, by adapting seven of the ten steps that are tailored to the needs of the study. This research was carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires at three schools in Bandar Lampung which included MTs Masyariqul Anwar Bandar Lampung, Yamama Bandar Lampung Middle School, and Hidayatul Islamiyah Bandar Lampung MTs in the 2018/2019 academic year. Validation of product design is carried out by relevant experts / experts and peer evaluations, then tested to the students of the school. The results of this study indicate that (1) teaching material products have been successfully developed in the form of LKPD writing news on extracurricular activities with Project Based Learning models for class VIII Middle / MTs students, (2) the results of the overall feasibility study materials are declared "Very Worthy" material amounted to 86.7%, media experts amounted to 89.8%, expert practitioners were 83.9% percent and expert evaluations were 88.5%. The results of the study indicate that LKPD products are suitable for use in news writing learning for class VIII SMP / MTs students.
