  • Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata dan membuat rancangan bahan ajar berupa modul yang akan digunakan siswa kelas XII tingkat SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul Analisis Isi dan Bahasa Novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata dapat dijadikan bahan ajar sastra yang baik karena terkandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu jujur, religi, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokrasi, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, cintai damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, tanggung jawab. Berdasarkan uji coba yang dilakukan kepada siswa dan guru mendapatkan beberapa penilaian dari aspek indikator kelayakan meliputi isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, dan kegrafikan. Penilaian siswa dan guru memperoleh presentase 81,5% dan 87,5%. Berdasarkan penilaian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Novel Sang Pemimpi, Bahan Ajar CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES INNOVEL THE OF THE WORKERS OF ANDREA HIRATA AS AN ALTERNATIVE OF LITERATURE TEACHING IN HIGH SCHOOL This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in the novel Sang Pemimpi by Andrea Hirata and to design teaching materials in the form of modules that will be used by class XII high school students. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the module Content Analysis and Novel Language The Dreamer by Andrea Hirata can be used as a good literary teaching material because it contains the values of character education, namely honest, religious, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, love for the country, respect for achievement, love peace, love to read, care for the environment, care for the social, responsibility. Based on the trials carried out on students and teachers, there were several assessments of aspects of feasibility indicators including content, linguistics, presentation, and graphics. Assessment of students and teachers obtained a percentage of 81.5% and 87.5%. Based on the assessment, it can be concluded that the product is suitable for use in learning literature in high school.
