Model pembelajaran think pair share adalah model pembelajaran yang memberi kesempatan kepada siswa agar dapat mengem-bangkan kemampuan siswa secara individu dan kelompok. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Terbanggi Besar tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian dipilih dua kelas dari delapan kelas dengan cara purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan meng-gunakan uji-t, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran think pair share berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Terbanggi Besar tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.
