- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan Karakteristik Sosial Ekonomi Keluarga Pengrajin Batu Bata di Desa Banjarsari Kecamatan Wonosobo Kabupaten Tanggamus pada tahun 2017. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara terstruktur serta teknik analisa data tabel persentase. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 11 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan: (1) Semua pengrajin batu bata masuk dalam golongan umur produktif. (2) Sebagian besar responden hanya menyelesaikan jenjang pendidikan pada pendidikan dasar (SD/SMP). (3) Jumlah anak dalam satu keluarga pengrajin batu bata adalah 2 jiwa. (4) Jumlah tanggungan yang dimiliki kepala keluarga pengrajin batu bata di Desa Banjarsari tergolong sedikit yaitu 3 orang. (5)Pendapatan rata-rata pengrajin batu bata di desa Banjarsari adalah Rp.1.652.091. (6) Terdapat 4 responden kebutuhan pokok minimumnya terpenuhi dan 7 responden pemenuhan kebutuhan pokoknya tidak terpenuhi. Kata kunci : sosial, ekonomi, pengrajin batu bata abstract This study attempts to describe the socio economic characteristics of the family a craftsman bricks in Banjarsari Village Wonosobo District Tanggamus Regency year 2017. A method of the research uses a method of descriptive, by applyng a technique data observation, documentation and interview sructured as well data analysis is based onthe table. Polulation in this study as many as 11 respondents. The result of this research showed: (1) all crafstman bricks included in the age productive. (2) the majority of respondents completed only level of education for the primary education (Elementary School/ Junior Hight School). (3) the number of children the average in one family a craftman bricks is 2 people. (4) the number of dependants within the head of the family a craftsman bricks in the Banjarsari Village is considered to be a little of 3 people. (5) the income of the craftsman briks in the Banjarsari village is Rp. 1.652.091. (6) as may 4 people respondent basic need fullied and 7 need is not fullied.
