Applications of Chicken Manure and Local Microorganisms (MOL) of Gliricidia Leaves on The Production and Quality of Cucumber Seed (Cucumis sativus L.)

  • The primary goal of the research is to know the interaction between the application of chicken manure and local microorganism (MOL) derived from Gliricidia Leaves on the increasing the quality and seed production of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.). The research was conducted in the field and seed quality testing laboratory State Polytechnic of Jember. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) is factorial. There are two factors in the study, the first factor is Chicken Manure covering. 20 ton/ha (A1), 40 ton/ha (A2), and 60 ton/ha (A3), the second factor is include the Gliricidia Leaves Local Microorganism (MOL) covering 60 ml/L (G1), 90ml/L (G2) and 120 ml/L (G3). Observation data on each parameter were analyzed by using the formula F-test (ANOVA) followed by the calculation of the level of 5% Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that treatment of Chicken Manure is very significant effect on parameters of Plant height was 153.83 cm 4 WAP, Leaf Number 2 WAP was 5.33 pieces, Leaf Number 4 WAP was 28.44 pieces, Number of fruit per plant fruit was 5.78 pieces, Number of good seeds per fruit was 207 seeds, Number of good seeds per plant was 737.11 seeds and 1000 seed weight of 25.37 g. MOL treatment of Gliricidia leaves a significant effect on the observation parameters Number of fruits per plant was 5.78 pieces. For the treatment of the interaction between the application of chicken manure and Gliricidia leaves MOL had a significant effect on the parameters of observation Leaf Number 4 WAP was 28.44 pieces, Number of seeds per plant was 737.11 pieces, Seed growing speed of 27.11% / et mal.
  • Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi antara pupuk kandang ayam dan Mikroorganisme Lokal (MOL) Daun Gamal terhadap Produksi dan mutu benih mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) secara Faktorial. Terdapat 2 faktor dalam penelitian yaitu, Faktor (A) Pupuk Kandang Ayam dengan dosis 20 ton/ha (A1), dosis 40 ton/ha (A2) dan dosis 60 ton/ha. Faktor (G) Mikroorganisme Lokal (MOL) Daun Gamal meliputi konsentrasi 60 ml/L (A1), konsentrasi 90 ml/L (A2) dan konsentrasi 120 ml/L (A3). Data hasil pengamatan pada setiap parameter pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus uji F (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) dengan taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan aplikasi pupuk kandang ayam memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata pada parameter pengamatan Tinggi Tanaman 4 MST sebesar 153,83 cm, Jumlah Daun 2 MST sebanyak 5,33 helai, Jumlah Daun 4 MST sebanyak 28,44 helai, Jumlah Buah per Tanaman sebanyak 5,78 buah, Jumlah Biji Bernas per Buah sebanyak 207 biji, Jumlah Biji Bernas per Tanaman sebanyak 737,11 biji dan Berat 1000 biji sebesar 25,37 g. Sedangkan perlakuan MOL daun gamal memberikan pengaruh yang nyata pada parameter pengamatan Jumlah Buah per Tanaman sebanyak 5,78 buah. Untuk perlakuan interaksi antara aplikasi pupuk kandang ayam dan MOL Daun gamal memberikan pengaruh yang nyata pada parameter pengamatan Jumlah Daun 4 MST sebanyak 28,44 helai, Jumlah Biji Bernas per Tanaman sebanyak 737,11 biji dan Kecepatan Tumbuh Benih sebesar 27,11 %/etmal.
