- Curly Chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is a herbaceous plant that has a high nutritional value, also has a high economic value. Chili production in East Java in 2011-2014 has increased but in 2015 experienced a considerable decrease. Efforts to increase the production and resistance of the curly chili is by the creation of new varieties that are resistant to pests and diseases. This research was conducted from April 13 to September 26, 2016. This research was conducted at Jl. Hayam Wuruk 1, Kaliwates, Jember, East Java. The altitude is 100-700 m above sea level. This research was conducted using nonfactorial randomized block design with 4 level and 4 replications. The treatment is as follows A = Curly Chilli Seed MG1012, B = Curly Chilli Seed Kiyo Varieties, C = Curly Chilli Seed Jinggo Varieties, D = Curly Chilli Seed Lado Varieties. Observation data were analyzed using the F-test (ANOVA) followed by Tukey test. The results showed that the intensity of the aphid pest attack (Myzus persicae Sulz) on the MG1012 strain had a very significant. The intensity of the attack is 4.45 and is included in the very resistant category.
- Cabai Keriting (Capsicum annuum L.) adalah tumbuhan yang mengandung nilai gizi dan finansial tinggi. produksi cabai di Jawa Timur pada tahun 2011-2014 mengalami peningkatan tetapi pada tahun 2015 mengalami penurunan cukup tinggi. Upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi dan ketahanan cabai keriting adalah dengan penciptaan varietas baru yang tahan terhadap hama dan penyakit . Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan 13 April sampai 26 September 2016. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jl. Hayam Wuruk 1, Kaliwates, Jember, Jawa Timur. Ketinggian tempat 100-700 m dpl,. Penelitian ini diaksanakan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) Non faktorial dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan tersebut sebagai berikut A = Benih Cabai Keriting Galur MG1012, B = Benih Cabai Keriting Varietas KIYO , C = Benih Cabai Keriting Varietas JINGGO , D = Benih Cabai Keriting Varietas LADO. Data Observasi dianalisi dengan menggunakan uji rumus F (ANOVA) diikuti oleh uji lanjut BNJ. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa intensitas serangan hama kutu daun persik (Myzus Persicae L) pada galur MG1012 berpengaruh sangat nyata. Intensitas serangan adalah 4,53 dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat tahan.
