- To defend quantity and production quality of ASI it need mother ability about gives suck to determine kind of nutritious food and increase the consumption as according to the nutrition need in gives suck time. Therefore, need knowledge and positive attitude about nutrition during gives suck time. The objective of this research is to detect about the existence of relation about knowledge and attitude from mother who gives suck that influence baby nutrient status. Research design is observational analysis with approach according to cross sectional study. Data taking is done according to purposive sampling, big sample 25 people taken by using questioner. Analysis is done by using Anova and Spearman correlation. This research result shows that mother who gives suck with less nutrient of baby status at job area of local government clinic of Jabung on July 2009 of Malang regency is more a lot of them has good knowledge about nutrition in give suck time (68%) with attitude that belong to unfavorable about nutrition in give suck time(72%).Result of Anova test show that there is significant relation between knowledge and mother attitude about nutrition in gives suck time with less of baby nutrient status at job area of local government clinic of Jabung of Malang regency. And from result of correlation Spearman test show that not found significant relation between mother knowledge about nutrition in gives suck time with less of baby nutrient status and there is significant relation between mothers attitudes about nutrition in gives suck time with less nutrient of baby status.
