- One of the artistic and cultural products that can communicate the events and phenomena environment in which he made the film. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the portion and proportion of political communication in the movie Gie? With the aim of the research to find out how many servings and proportion political communication contained in the film Gie and describe how many servings of proportion political communication in film Gie. This study uses the theory as a basic reference source to observe and describe the portion of the proportion of political communication contained in Gie film. This study uses content analysis method with descriptive statistical tools. The purpose of content analysis is to accurately represent the framework message. This study uses units of dialogue and scene analysis as an important part of a movie, with the structure of categories form of conflict with disagreement indicators and indicators differences of opinion, category peaceful settlement with the indicators and indicators of violence and abstention category with indicators of neutral and independent. The third category emerged as part of political communication. This study used a unit of measurement duration per second appearance of the scene which contain elements of political communication. Research shows that political communication in film Gie is as much as 3866 seconds as the total occurrence of the observed scene. The film is more forward side of independence Gie and friends - friends in that category with a share of abstentions or equal to 2302 seconds 59.54%. Then followed by the category of conflict with the emergence of as many as 1086 seconds or amounted to 28.09%. And the category of completion with the emergence of as many as 478 seconds or a total 12.36%. The dominance of this category of abstention in the film indicates that the GIE and friends - friends prefer to remain independent and neutral in his political activities, and trying to be impartial to any faction or join political parties / organizations anything political. Conclusion of political communication research shows in this film reveals that every human being aware or not definitely never do any political activity, where in which there is conflict, settlement and attitudes abstained. Political activity that most Gie fil dominant in this is the attitude of abstention, which is defined as the absence of conflict and things that must be resolved. This proves that the political world is not always synonymous with conflict and resolution. Because the GIE and friends - his friends try to always be independent and convey ideas, thoughts, desires and information through the media in a peaceful and try to avoid to be a source of conflict.
