- Language community is a group of people who regard themselves as using the same language. A particular group of people may use particular vocabulary when they are interacting with each other. The particular language is usually called jargon. Jargon is one of the language varieties used based on a certain purpose. In this case, transsexual creates jargons because they feel that the people in their environment exclude them due to the fact that they are not the same with the other people. They make something different from the other by making different language, i.e. “jargon” to show that they exist in their environment and they have high self-confident. In this study, the writer analyzed the jargon used by transsexual in beauty salon in Kediri. The problems formulated were as: what are the jargons and what are the meanings of the jargons used by transsexual in beauty salon in Kediri in their communication? In this study, the writer used descriptive qualitative design because there was no administration / control of a treatment. The research subjects were four transsexual in two beauty salons in Kediri. To collect the data, the writer used Focussed or Semi-structured Interview, because this process entailed the writer using the broad topic in which she was interested in, to guide the interview, and recorded the responses by taking note and tape recorder. In observation, the writer used non participants observation because she got the data by joining them in their conversation, but not as a transsexual person. The result of this study showed that there were two kinds of language used by the transsexual, namely: Indonesian and Javanese. And there were 231 jargons used by transsexual in beauty salon in Kediri. Some jargons had more than one meaning, and some jargons were created by transsexual in which they tended to give affix “in” in the words and some were borrowed from Indonesian and Javanese vocabulary.
