- Tenun Pelangi is one of the company which active in sarung effort, handling of inefficient expense is main problem in this industry which cause high production cost. From the condition needed a method to overcome the problem. Fuzzy Inference System with method of Mamdani is one of the technique used for the minimization of production cost. Especial target of this method to production cost minimization to be can improve advantage of company. Before us process data with use Fuzzy Mamdani, hence is beforehand conducted by gathering of needed dataï¿1⁄2s that is, request data, data is amount of productions, and production cost data at months before all. Newly at step hereinafter we do data processing started with determination of and variable of semesta discussion, was later;then continued by forming of gathering of fuzzy, and conducted coherent ( defuzzy) as last step. Add for conducted constructively Matlab Toolbox Fuzzy software with method of centroid. From data processing obtained by result of production cost to month of October 2007 using method of fuzzy mamdani, with method defuzzyfikasi of centroid, method with request input equal to 1.915 of pieces and produce equal to 1.882 of pieces to yield production cost output equal to Rp 43.100.000,-. While for the comparison of company version production cost and of fuzzy mamdani obtained result for the type of sarung of TR, in August, with request 1756 of pieces and production 1764 of pieces, company ought to earn for the minimization of production cost equal to Rp. 1.280.000,- ( 0.14%). And in September, with request 1756 of pieces and production 1715 of pieces, company ought to earn for the minimization of production cost equal to Rp. 1.400.000,- ( 0.12%). For the type of sarung of cotton, in August, with request 1905 of pieces and production 1895 of pieces, company ought to earn for the minimization of production cost equal to Rp. 275.000,- ( 0.6%). And in September, with request 1900 of pieces and production 1895 of pieces, company ought to earn for the minimization of production cost equal to Rp. 275.000,- ( 0.6%)
