- This research done to describe process of mathematics learning by IDEAL problem solving approach in composition function that shown by student’s and teacher’s activities. On the other hand, this research done to describe effectivity of learning by IDEAL problem solving approach in composition function that shown by respond and result of studying. This research done on January 2010 even semester 2010-2011 academic year in second class of senior hight school of Muhammadiyah 1 Malang subject in this research are 24 students. This research use observing sheet, giving test, interview, and giving Result of research by IDEAL problem solving in composition show that learning by teacher and student well. It’s shown that student activities reach 70% and teacher’s activities reach 81,71 %. It’s mean good criterian. Efectivity of mathematic learning by IDEAL problem solving is effective. Its shown by student’s respon reach 74,46%. It’s mean strong criterian and students give a good respond in this learning.on the other hand, effectifity of learning shown by result of test that reach 87,50%. It’s mean in test.
