- The growth of development such as industry, transportation, and others will benefit human being as well as giving the negative sides, one of them is air pollution both indoor and outdoor. Cement dust is one of pollutant which cause respiratory disorder. This research aims to know the effect of dust pieces of cement factory of PT. Semen Gresik Tuban towards Sumberarum villagers lung function. The design of this research is analytical observation with cross sectional study. The samples are 88 people. The data analysis using ChiSquare test. The result of this research showed that most of Sumberarum villagers had lung function disorder (93.2%), especially obstructive disorder (71.6%) and restrictive disorder (21.6%). Those who worked in PT. Semen Gresik Tuban had lower %VC, %FVC, and %FEV1 rather than those who did not work in PT. Semen Gresik Tuban because those who worked in PT. Semen Gresik Tuban had higher risk of getting the cement pieces. The result of ChiSquare (X2) as test independency showed that dust pieces of cement factory of PT. Semen Gresik Tuban did not significantly affect Sumberarum villagers lung function (p>0.05).
