- Public transportation bus of Malang-Probolinggo is one of the transportation part which was a general needs of society which couldn’t be separated from their lives. The existence of the public transportation was needed, but if there is no good handle it could cause problem. Bus is a part of transportation faciltiy which used often by society to do daily activities. The performance of economic bus Malang-Probolinggo route according to standard indicator of Directorate General of Land Transportation or performance paramter, they were: daily load factor per days for route (Malang – Probolinggo = 62 %) and (Probolinggo – Malang = 64 %), for route acceleration (Malang – Probolinggo = 51.55 Km / Jam ) while (Probolinggo – Malang = 53.02 Km / Jam), headway average per days 3.56 minutes for Malang – Probolinggo and 3.42 minutes for Probolinggo – Malang. For the average journey per days was 1.21 minutes/Km for Malang – Probolinggo route and for Probolinggo – Malang for 1.14 minutes/Km, then for economic bus frequency 11.02 vehicles/ hour for Malang – Probolinggo and 14.18 vehicle/Jam for Probolinggo – Malang. From the calculation to get balance between supply demand, fitting for operational group for Malang-Probolinggo route was 240 group and for Probolinggo – Malang route was 244 group.
