- Unity TPS was one of temporary garbage dump from Silale Village Ambon City region. Garbage from the place wasn’t processed in optimum way before it brought to Hutumuri Garbage Dump (TPA). Garbage processing by using garbage from TPS was not planned well by related institution in proper way. The research aimed to find out garbage composition, analyzing garbage reduction potential, discussing economic potential from garbage before and after optimum process. Method used was by doing research about existence and character of garbage in Unity TPS. The result was used to do the next step in data collection. It was then analyzed by making mass equilibrium, to find a way to reduce the garbage in Unity TPS, so that there would be found the economic value resulted. From the calculation, there found that total junk heap was 0,27kg/person/day. According to the research, there found average composition: wet waste 69,71 %, plastic 14,12 %, paper 6,19 %, cloth 1,62 %, metal 2,46%, wood 1,20 %, glasses 4,27 % and latex 0,42 %. The research showed that if the waste processed in optimum way in source before it was taken to the End-Garbage Dump, it would be decreased from 1.321,12kg/day into 442,98 kg/day with economic value increasing from Rp 492.126,00 into Rp 1.537.657,00 each day
