Research was conducted experiments using resident child research subjects Penitentiary (Prison) Blitar many as 16 persons were identified as children who have low self-concept. Then 16 people are divided into two groups, namely the 8 people in the experimental group and 8 men in the control group with matching randomise application (to match the subject). Data collection instrument used in this study were given self-concept scale when pretest and posttest. Test the validity of the items using the product moment with the reliability of moving from 0.7712 to 0.8704. analysis technique used is the t-test (independent sample t-test), which is obtained when pretest (t = 0.291 and p = 0.775) at significance level of 5%. While the current obtained posttest (t = 0.707 and p = 0.491) at significance level of 5%. Thus the working&#xD; hypothesis of this research is received. From this analysis it can be concluded that no significant influence or effective of play therapy in improving children's self concept LP. Thus it can be recommended for the next researcher to use other techniques if a function is more effective than when using play therapy. Also remember this research is experimental, it is advisable for the next researcher to be able to better control or control variables expected to affect the indicators to be studied because it will be very influential on later research.
