- The management of cities’ roads networks should be determined on the crossroads, recalling that the capacity of cities’ crossroads networks are adjusted by the works of its intersections. The management of intersections’ traffics are the most critical thing toward the movement of traffics entirely at the intersections of cities’ roads. In this evaluation, the researcher uses Manuals of Indonesian Highway Capacity (MKJI), 1997. This condition results in DS approximately 0.889 and delayed interface rates around 55.07 sec/intersec, this rate is no longer sufficient, therefore it needs to adjust the correction of intersections in order to improve the working condition at Jl Raya Bastion – Jl Pasar Inpres junction. It may be concluded from two planning alternatives, and five years analysis results to come indicate that first alternative chosen is the first alternative given, that is the modification of signal phases of traffic to two phases signaling that it is forbidden to turn left toward northern direction and turn right at the south direction. Thus, the result of analysis indicates DS 0.506 and delayed intersection rates around 9.91 sec/intersect in this condition, and toward five years condition next DS 0.790 and delayed intersection rates is approximately 18.04 sec/intersect. Finally, first alternative chosen can be implemented to design the intersections at year 2007 and five years to come.
