- Indonesian movies tend to show stories with juvenile life themes. Realita Cinta dan Rock’n Roll refers to a youth genre movie. The youth life and its attributes seem considered as interesting to watch. The author, therefore, put the interest to examine the content of juvenile delinquency in the Realita Cinta dan Rock’n Roll motion picture. Research method employs content analysis with descriptive statistic apparatus. Research uses scene analysis unit including acting and dialog, in which involving 106 scenes in this movie. Data analysis technique uses frequency distribution analysis technique to understand the frequency of occurrence in every research category. Testing the reliability of research requires the assistance of two coders (people with coding duty) in the data coding. Results of research indicate three categorical structures, i.e. delinquency in the family, social delinquency, and delinquency in the school. Frequency of juvenile delinquency occurrence becomes evident in the 29 scenes of 106 scenes observed. It may ascertain the importance of family in giving lesson about how to become self and other individual. Lack of family control only gives unfavorable effect on the family itself. The children possibly may take a position to resist the parent because they feel having their individual freedom.
