- Adjustment is an important thing done by someone because adjustment is a process towards a better situation. Adjustment elderly against development tasks is very important to be done by an elderly widow especially for the elderly. By adjusting ourselves to the tasks of development it will create a pleasant life of old age. This study aims to describe the adjustment ability of elderly widows living alone in accordance with the tasks of development and how the effort was doing. The location designated as a place to study is the Village District Sanankerto Turen conducted in October to December 2006, and research subjects are taken as many as four people. This type of research is qualitative research, while the data collection methods are interviews and observation. From the results of research on the adaptation of elderly widows may be obtained among other results, one of the subjects are less able to adjust themselves because they have poor health and advanced age, including a type of resignation. While the two men are quite capable of subjects including adjustments and included in the independent type, and one elderly subject is able to properly make adjustments and type wise. The ability to adjust themselves to the tasks of development helps the elderly to achieve the good life.
